Gosh.... its been so long since i updated this place!

Haha, thanks to Thalia and Eugenia who mentioned that they

still visit this blog!! (i'm really really surprised! :p)

Therefore, i shall update this blog a bit :)

WOOHOO! Exams are over! Thank God i can finally have a good

rest.. at least for awhile..

Anyway, here's some of the happenings recently~

Thank God for Grace that came! :)

*Phew~~*

Well, what can i say? it's finally over? or its just the beginning? hahah..

anyway, the start of the year was awesome! Why?

Sometime back, when i just made a really tough decision to move on to Minops,

i had some questions and uncertainties in my mind.. of cuz, with all the emotional attachment and "bu she de" feelings and all~ :'(

So all i could do was to ask God to lead me and reveal to me on how He can use me and how can I serve Him here and impact lives too~

God is faithful and i guess He showed me bit by bit and guided me so much through the series of events started in End Jan..

Firstly, Love Me-ter

I thank God to be able to be part of this production as it grew me in many many ways..

Also, through this ESS, we're able to invite sec one Deyians through a job lobang

to Love Me-ter and guess what? They cross the line of Faith and were touched by God!! God is good!

Last but not the least, Dance Competitions.

Okay.. this is the event that has the most weight-age.

It all started in a Ydance DMM @ Jiali's house, when she asked whether any of us wanted to participate in Dance Fiesta 2011 cuz it was a small comp and good opp for exp!

Along the way, Jacq also requested us to join Stage Without Borders.

So after discussing, everyone agreed that the Bboy/Popping grp is the most ready.

Then i had a discussion with them after a Ydance meet and asked for their commitment for whoever is interested~and there you have it..

Justin, Guowei, Desmond, JianHao, Joshua, Nigel, LieHao and myself

8 noob hunks with limited dance techniques and has no exp in comps or whatsoever, joining the comps in the name of Hope Church/Ydance.

So along the way, many of us had some tough times juggling with our responsibilities-pastoral ministries, sch projs, etc..

and even our dear friend Nigel had to be out of this comp due to some commitment issues...

However, things get tough along the way..haha

As we prepared for the Prelims, we gave all we had and throw out whatever good ideas we all had to put up a good show..

we just wanted to had fun n exp what a comp felt like..

so we met EVERYDAY 6pm for the week! HAHA!

I can still rmb us overnighting at the airport to finish our choreo!

Our prelims piece wasnt that clean/fantastic but satisfyable to us..

GOd even helped us with the timing and sync of certain steps as well! HAHA!

And guess what? We got through to the semi-finals! God is good!!

ANd so, we prac doubly hard, meeting EVERYDAY @ 6 in the comp week!

We gave all we had, throwing our best moves and ideas for it!

Just like giving God our 2 copper coin and that 5 loaves and 2 fishes :)

We concluded that it was God's grace that brought us through and decided to treat the semi-finals as our FINALS! haha!

Then came the semi-finals @ St James. There were lots of good competitors such as, Flair Bros, Emerge Crew, Fantastic Forze Crew, etc... but we didn't want to let them hinder our dance cuz ultimately, we didn't join this to win..

But guess what? We made it to the FINALS!! God is good!!

It was really God's grace that brought us through again!

We worked hard and brought out our best to the FINALS.

We didn't win though but thats okay cuz our objectives were met :)

But then came the interesting thing, when we were waiting for our Dance Fiesta Finals to be ready, Guowei wanted to go Vivo to take a bite and so we went with him.

Just outside St.James, we saw a group of people giving out flyers and we took it.

We were surprise to see that it was another (Step Upward) Dance Competition held @ Hougang Sec, organized by Punggol South CC! Registration fee $50, Prize money $500!

It definitely seemed like a lower level comp than DF.

So Desmond inquired about the comp and we found out that there were only 3 crews joining-which means we can definitely win a prize! And the Reg fee cut down to $25! Why would we give such a good opp a miss?

So right after hearing the results of DF, we grab some food and left for Hougang straight! (though some of us were tired and didn't really felt like dancing alrdy...prob cuz no motivation and knowing there's still SWB the next day haha)

The comp was in a school hall in Hougang Sec.. they made it look like some sorta club, with loud music and lotsa lightings!

They even have drinks and snacks outside haha..FREE!

We arrived kinda late and yet they still waited for us.. i guess they really need people to join haha.

The interesting thing also is that we saw Funk It Up there!

I realised that they registered earlier already and we just came on the spot!

It's interesting to see a DF finalist there as well as we didn't expect any strong competitors there!

Like out of so many..............why...a DF finalist? and moreover, at hougang??!!! haha...

i can't think of any reason to figure that out..

We all gave our best for the comp and guess what.......?

We won 1st prize!!! a Trophy and $500!! God is good!!

(and we didnt even need to pay for reg fee!)

I was thinking that Funk It Up's gonna hate us cuz they could have gotten first place if we didnt turn up :p

But we still encouraged each other after everything!

As we were about to leave, there's was an open cypher!

We all just got out in the circle and did our thing!

Not only that, they also had a dance battle!

So we had a chance to had a friendly battle against some of the other competitors!

We all really had fun and it was a good exp and exposure for us all!

After the whole day of dance event, I was really amazed by how God actually gave us that opp to meet those people outside St.James. It was so...divine. God didnt just honour our hardwork with that $500, He also gave us an opp to battle and cypher tgt thru that event!!

I'm still awed by that as well!

It's like going to a jam with your crew and cyphering and battling and doing what we love tgt..moreover, representing Ydance and the BIG J!

Whoo.............................awed...

Then the next day(SUNDAY), we had SWB performance @ Wisma Atria.

Then again, we saw Fantastic Forze crew and some other DF peeps.. and had that same feeling we had at Hougang Sec.

But then we were told that this isn't a competiton no more but a performance.. haha!

it was good still, cuz we represent in the name of Hope Church and even had a media coverage through an interview! haha..

So after thinking back, if we didn't go for Step Upward Comp, we wouldn't have that $500 and all... of cuz its not all for the money but i tot that it was good that we win something so as to have a credibility in the dance scene, and ppl knowing that we are from Hope! Would be easier to share the love of dancing in a different point of view and about Jesus' love!

In conclusion, this whole period was an adventure....a great one.

Saw how God use me and gave me opp to serve Him thru this specialized ministry.

I did the best i could.. but I don't know how to describe in details...

But i know that God is God and we are not.. His ways are surely higher than ours..

It was evident how He lead us through the whole dance thingy since Day 1!

We really wanna do our best to honour and glorify God to the best we can through these competitions! And i guess, God use us and open doors for us when He closes one.

I'm so thankful as well cuz this also bonded the r/s btwn us soooo much!

We saw how each other struggle, grow in discipline, priority management, character moulding, etc..

I can't help but to thank God how HE did it and moved in ways that i can't see/imagine..

(Awed again......>.<)

Can't believe i managed to squeeze 28 people into my house!!
What a breakthrough! :D

Anyway, it was an good time of catch up and REUNION DINNER
@ my house!
Finally had a chance to gather everybody and have a "reunion"!

Really thank God for all these people in my life~
yupp, every single one..ever since day1 in CentralB/G.. to the leaders and everyone else.
Whenever i think back, i thank God for the times of doing life and growing tgt!
There's like so much to say whenever i meet u guys haha!
As we are all in different ministries and lifestations, cont to JIAYOU for HIM!
Same race, Different lanes.
Looking forward to a Reunion Dinner in 5 to 10 years time!

Oh and its just the start of 2011!
And yeah, i do feel the "pressure" of things surrounding~!
There's quite a few on the list to finish!
Haha.. An impt role in ESS, Dance Fiesta 2011, etc..
And all these for the first time in my lifE!
Woo~
It's sure exciting too!

I'm glad, excited and also tired.
But i know God's leading the way...
Stick close and follow. You wont go wrong.

FINAL TRAVEL PLANS

Did you ever realize that all the arrangements for the final journey have already been made?

Read this check-list and give thanks.

ACCOMMODATION
Arrangements for first-class accommodation have been made in advance.

PASSPORTS
Persons seeking entry will not be permitted past the gates without having proper papers/credentials and having their names registered with the ruling Authority.
